Spring Break Postcard Drawing
To get us all in the mood for warmer weather and vacation, we are asking that you send us a postcard while you are on Spring Break telling us what fun things you are up to! We will display all of the postcards during Beach Weeks, which run from April 8 to May 1, 2008 . At the end of the day on May 1, we will put all of the postcards together and draw out five lucky winners. A Flip Video Camera (theflip.com) will be the prize for the first postcard drawn! The other four winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to Culver’s. Whether you are traveling or enjoying time off here at home, we all wish you a happy and healthy vacation!
Beach Weeks
From April 8 through May 1, 2008 we will be dreaming of summer! Our office will be all decked out for warmer weather with all kinds of exotic summertime decorations, while great beach tunes play in the background. Please stop by anytime to join in the fun and enjoy a hot dog and other goodies on us!
Marshmallow Guessing Contest
We recently had a contest where patients guessed the number of marshmallows filled in a large jar. The total amount of marshmallows in the jar was 472. We are proud to announce Kara Gitskin as the winner! Her guess was a mere 16 marshmallows shy at 456. Kara won a $50 gift certificate at Culvers! The second place winner, Christopher Koenemann, guessed 445 marshmallows, and took home a $25 Culvers gift certificate. Congratulations!
Winter Lodge Weeks
Dr. Burkey and his staff celebrated the winter season during Winter Lodge Weeks, which ran from January 21 until February 15, 2008 . Patients came in out of the wind and cold and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate as well as cookies or pastries by the fireplace. Our office was transformed into a cozy lodge, decorated with skis, snowboards, and lots of snow!!
Roller Skating Party
On December 10th 2007, Dr. Burkey treated his patients to a Roller Skating Party. Dr. Burkey provided addmission and skate rental for each patient as well as a friend. Many current patients attended, and everyone had a great time! This was Dr. Burkey's 19th year hosting this annual event.
 Candy Buy Back
During Halloween, we encouraged our Trick or Treaters to bring in their haul of gooey, sticky candy in exchange for cold hard cash. We purchased this candy from our patients by the pound. We were able to get 130 pounds of candy off the street! This was a win-win situation for all of us, and we have happily donated the candy to a local Food Pantry.
